FAQ

Q1. How long does it take to make a cigar?

A1. A person can make a cigar in just a couple minutes. Small cigars take a little less time than larger ring sizes because there are more leaves to bunch.

Q2. Do you offer any accessories or parts for the RYO Premium cigar rolling machine?

A2. We do offer replacement rolling belts and other parts as shown on our “Accessories” page.

Q3. Which parts will wear out or break first?

A3. Years of design and testing went into the RYO Premium cigar roller machine to make sure it was a durable unit. The rolling belt, bushing kit, and belt rods are the only parts we offer replacements. Depending on the usage, the belts will last for many years. The belts are made from a similar material that manual cigarette rollers are made from. They take a great deal of use and rarely need replacement.

Q4. Where do you get tobacco leaves?

A4. Whole tobacco leaves are classified as an agricultural product and are not taxable as are cigars, etc. Search the Internet under “whole tobacco leaves” and several will show up. Order online and they are shipped right to your door.

Q5. Do you offer any additional color combinations or customization?

A5. We offer an industrial version of the RYO Premium that comes with roller bearings and padded handle for an additional $75 per unit.  We can add a powered handle and foot switch for even faster production rolling and “both hands operation”.  We have the capability to make other customizations. Inquire with specifics to the email address at the bottom for pricing and lead time.

Q6. Can we see one actually work in a store?

A6. We sell only online at this point. The YouTube videos are the closest thing to actually seeing one being used.

Q7: Do you offer returns/refunds for the RYO Premium?

A7: It is our policy to manufacture the very best quality cigar rollers that are designed to last a lifetime. However, If you are not completely satisfied, you may return within 10 days for a refund–subject to the conditions below.

CONDITIONS.  The product must NOT have been used. We do not have a license to receive or sell tobacco–in any amounts. We adhere to the FDA’s final rule, Deeming Tobacco Products To Be Subject to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as Amended by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (81 FR 28974, May 10, 2016) and the Center for Tobacco Products, Food and Drug Administration. We do not have a Tobacco Products Retailer endorsement nor a Public Health Commission Permit for Location and Sales of Tobacco Products.

We do not warranty accidental damage nor freight damage. Item must be returned in original packaging. The original shipping fee and return shipping is non-refundable. We reserve the right to charge a 15% restocking fee. Email for RA number.

Q8: How do you get any cigar glue residue off of the rolling belt?

A8: The RYO Premium is very easy to clean.  Use any common cleaner and/or water–and sponge or wipe the rolling belt.  All of the materials used will stand up to most common cleaning methods and/or solvents.

Q9: Can I roll little cigars or cigarillos with your machine?

A9: All Ryo Premium cigar rollers can roll down to a 28 ring gauge. Our Model 140 Mini is especially made to roll down to a 20 ring gauge (8 mm) with special modifications to the basic design.  The Model 140 Mini rolls from a 20 to a 46 ring gauge where the Model 110, 120, and 130 roll from a 28 to a 70.

Q10: What kind of custom units do you make?

A10: We have made high volume units, powered units, and several custom units.  Custom units include our Model 130 Walnut that has natural Brazilian Walnut ends that we stock in limited quantities.  (See Custom Unit page).  We continue to develop options and accessories.

Q11: I called the number below and kept getting your answering machine.

A11: We are very busy but do respond to most inquiries that leave a message with a call back number and best times to call back.
