Osprey Press (RYO PREMIUM) is a small cottage business located in Buffalo, Minnesota. We were originally established in 1999 by publishing and selling books online. We began to research easier cigar rolling technology after several years of hand rolling. We knew that rolling cigars was easier for people with significant finger dexterity, strength, and a great deal of patience and practice. There had to be a better way!

Whole leaf tobacco (from all over the world) is available online and is routinely shipped right to your door.  There are many people who desire to roll their own cigars for many reasons–including quality and cost.  Cigarette making devices of many “flavors” are a common commodity, but cigar smokers clearly lacked a quick and consistent way to make their own quality long filler cigars.  We saw a need for a good quality cigar rolling machine.

We carefully researched all of the methods and devices that have been used to aid in cigar making over many decades. The qualities they all seemed to lack was ease of use, uniformity, and  “adjustability”.  We wanted to make a cigar roller machine that did not have to be mounted into a hole in a table.  We wanted it to be lightweight and portable so people could easily get together in groups and roll their favorite blends. We also wanted a durable unit that would last for many years. After a massive amount of research, prototypes, and testing, and patent processing, the RYO Premium was born. We feel that the RYO Premium is, quite simply, the best cigar roller machine PERIOD.
